This training reviews the constructs of cultural competence and cultural humility and extends to an understanding of anti-racism, decolonization, and liberation psychology. With attention to intersectionality, attendees discover ways that an anti-racist lens shapes assessment, intervention, and the personal, professional, and public lives of mental health professionals.
This 90-minute training is for beginner and advanced clinicians, as most training programs have not offered training in anti-racism therapeutic practice. The training will encompass both theory and practical application of anti-racism therapy.
The training also touches on sustainability, self-care, and community-care as the work of anti-racism is a lifelong commitment.
1.5 CE credits will be offered for completion of this course.
