  Join us for our Member Spotlight Series, featuring An EMDR Therapy Overview with Dr. Andrew Leeds

  
  

  PRESENTATION TOPIC:

  This 90-minute interactive workshop offers an integrative, clinically focused overview of EMDR Therapy as a transdiagnostic intervention grounded in the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model. It will highlight the evidence base for EMDR Therapy across PTSD and other stress-related and comorbid conditions and will cover individual, group, and remote delivery formats.

  Participants will discover how pathogenic memory networks contribute to diverse symptom presentations and how these are quickly resolved with EMDR Therapy. By the end of this introductory workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Summarize the evidence supporting EMDR as a first-line, cost-effective trauma-focused treatment.
  2. Describe the AIP model and its transdiagnostic implications.
  3. Compare key clinical considerations in individual, group, and telehealth EMDR.
  4. Apply a structured framework for choosing adjunctive EMDR referral versus transfer of care in more complex presentations.
